Audit Biodiversité® of PDL: the site committee action plan

Thanks to an Auditcarried out by Gondwana and PwC, Bolloré Thin Papers is able to know the biodiversity profile of its Papeteries du Léman mill based on three criteria :

  • The aspect and proximity of the site with regards to biodiversity
  • The disruption of the site’s activity on biodiversity
  • The site’s dependence on ecological services
The findings of the Biodiversity audit conducted in Q1 2012 were presented to the committee of Papeteries du Léman. After reviewing all of the  recommendations, the agency agreed to study an initiative aimed at achieving more eco-friendly management of the site's natural space (accounting for 75%) and to eliminate all abnormal practices in a spirit of togetherness between biodiversity, safety and corporate image vis-à-vis both its clients and partners.
 
Like the LCA - Life Cycle Assessment in 2008, this method is a global first in the thin paper sector.
